Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Join our team to be a part of the exciting transformation as we migrate UMD computing systems to a modern cloud-based solution. The Workday Integrations Developer supports the University of Maryland, College Park, by focusing on the Integration domain and subject areas. Specifically, the Integration Developer 1) designs, builds, tests, and provides production support of Workday integration code including Studio, EIB, Reports, and BIRTs and 2) identifies, assesses, and solves complex business problems for integrating the Workday cloud application with external applications across Human Capital Management, Financial, and Student functional areas. The Integration Developer serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Integration technical areas and helps coordinate a cohesive solution design among the areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience with a minimum of between three to five years of relevant experience.

Experience:
  • 5 or more years of work experience
    • 2+ years of experience integrating disparate systems.
    • 2+ years of ETL or Reporting tool development.
  • Experience with integration-related technologies (SOAP and REST APIs, WSDL, SFTP, XML/XSLT).
  • Experience developing technical integrations from beginning to end.
  • Experience with system implementations.

Knowledge , Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to understand a complex system architecture in which data flows between. interconnected systems, managed by different teams.
  • Capable of understanding all integration options and being able to choose the best one based on requirements.
  • Effective communication skills – including the capability to listen to the needs of others, research and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under various conditions and constraints.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve operational and system issues.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and with members of other functional/technical teams to identify action items, team member responsibilities, etc.
  • Ability to manage high volume workload with many interruptions and pay close attention to details.

Preferences:

  • Experience with Java.
  • Experience with Workday’s Integration Framework.
  • Support of production level scheduled jobs.

Additional Information:

Benefits Included:

Salary range $120,000-$130,000

The incumbent works in an office environment and the position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to attend meetings on and off campus.
