Rider University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director, Scheduling & Events. The Assistant Director will provide leadership to staff for the scheduling of all campus facilities for all non-academic events.
- Overseeing the management of CollegeNET 25 Live – central reservation database/software application for all University scheduling. Train employees on 25Live functions;
- Overseeing, hiring, training, and managing all student staff for the Bart Luedeke Student Center Info Desk to provide efficient communication for incoming and internal communications and customer service are being met on a daily basis;
- Managing and overseeing all physical event arrangements, campus wide for internal and external events;
- Overseeing maintenance of set-up equipment and supplies; and
- Providing critical support for commencement planning and event management.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 4 years prior demonstrated management experience in scheduling and events.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Be self-motivated with the ability to instruct and lead.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and operate effectively in fast-paced situations.
- Ability to review, finalize, and execute contracts.
- Sound supervisory skills
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Thorough working knowledge of 25 live software, presentation technology and facilities processes preferred
