We are seeking a temporary employee to work in the CRISPR lab at NCSU for the summer. This temporary employee will perform tasks to support the lab members by completing lab tasks including washing glassware, making media, and autoclaving waste, preparing and autoclaving lab supplies. This position will also support genome editing research projects. Previous independent bench experience is required.

- Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties
Department Required Skills
- Previous bench experience working in a research lab with Gram Positive bacteria
- Experience working with anaerobic bacteria, PCR, cloning, primer design and DNA isolation techniques
- Experience with the transformation of Gram Positive bacteria
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- BS in Microbiology or Biochemistry and Genetics or similar
