Montgomery College, Rockville and Germantown Campus, has an immediate need for a FT Building Services Supervisor, Facilities Operations (1 Rockville; 1 Germantown). The work schedule is Monday-Friday 6am -2:30pm. This is a non-bargaining, exempt, grade 23 position. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform various supervisory functions for assigned staff such as assigning specific duties to staff, establishing priorities/deadlines and monitoring and evaluating work performance.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend commendation, formal and informal coaching, and disciplinary action.

  • Evaluate the training needs of staff and coordinate/conduct in-house training.

  • Provide oversight for contractors (obtain/review bids, supervise and guide work, complete purchase orders, inspect, and sign off completed jobs).

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D and any combination of education, training, and experience providing understanding of the trade and the ability to perform the duties of the job. The equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

  • Six years of progressively responsible experience performing and leading others in building custodial work.

  • Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.

Hiring Range $52,373 to $68,074 annually. Initial salary placement is based on candidate experience and internal equity.  Please include a complete resume including all relevant and related work experience.
