Key Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in lab testing, characterization, and field certifications.
- Experience in chip bring-up and lab equipment such as protocol tester, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc.
- Experience with multiple 4G/5G protocol test equipment (e.g., Keysight/Anritsu/R&S etc.) along with their test automation interfaces.
- Deep-knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing to be able to design algorithms such as timing recovery, filter design, signal estimation and detection, automatic gain control, RF impairments estimation and correction, channel estimation, equalization, forward-error correction, OFDM, MIMO detection, etc.
- Understanding of multi-antenna techniques and MIMO, mmWave Beamforming and Beam Acquisition, mmWave mesh networks.
- In-depth knowledge of cellular communication standards: 5GNR, 4G LTE, and the corresponding L1/MAC/RRC procedures such as PLMN/Cell search, hand over, reselection, measurements, random access procedures, registration, etc.
- Full-stack system-level understanding and ability to comprehend and affect an improvement to multi-disciplinary processes of RF/PHY/L1/L2.
- Experience with Matlab, C/C++, and/or Python for algorithm modeling (floating-point and fixed-point), link-level simulation, and lab testing environments.
- Demonstrate clarity of thought and strong analytical and problem-solving skills (probability, digital signal processing, linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation).
- Good understanding and debug capabilities of a mixed HW/FW multi-processor PHY/L1 implementation.
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team.
Description
- Work on bring up and end-to-end features for cellular SoC Solution in both pre silicon simulation/emulation and post silicon lab environments. - Responsible for full operation and optimization of AGC, DPD, time-domain processing, channel estimation, MIMO demodulation, and channel decoding. - Design, develop and complete end to end Performance tests in the lab. Optimization of various PHY/L1 algorithms to achieve the best performance and correlate the results with simulation. - We are looking for highly motivated individual, who can excel in performing the integration modules in the system. - Comprehensive full-stack understanding and with the ability to analyze issues in lab and field which are related to L1, MAC, and RRC procedures with tight multi-functional work with RF, HW, FW, and SW teams.
Education & Experience
BS and 10+ years of relevant experience.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700.00 and $284,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
