Your next role as a Miracle Maker
Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Research & Development team as a Science Communication Temp. As a Science Communication Temp you will learn how to design, develop, and execute engaging and informative scientific content for diverse audiences across a variety of platforms. In this role the temp will focus on a project to expand Maravai's Science Academy employee training program and will contribute to other projects that increase awareness of the company's science and innovation activities.
Project Milestones:
- Meet with cross-functional teams to learn about Maravai's products and its business units.
- Learn and use marketing and communications channels and software tools.
- Create and launch 1 - 2 new internal training modules related to Maravai Science Academy (topics may include DNA, mRNA applications, enzymes, immunoassays and viruses).
- Support additional projects related to Science Communication, as relevant.
- Prepare and present a project overview with results to Marketing, Communications, R&D, and other company leadership.
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree and have a strong interest in science.
- Experience with MS Suite (Teams, Office, Excel, Powerpoint) is strongly preferred.
- Web, film, media or design software experience, for example Canva, is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both in a team setting and independently.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
