The Scrum Master III - Release Coordination is a hybrid role that includes both Scrum Master and Release Coordination responsibilities. The position will coordinate release activities, support release teams by serving as the Scrum Master, drive continuous improvements and release management best practices. The Scrum Master will work alongside engineers, stakeholders, and leaders to outline initiative goals in improving and supporting our technology while keeping teams on track and ensuring that projects and products meet specific standards at each stage of the development cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams across Aya product & technologyto ensure a smooth and timelyreleaseprocess
  • Develop, implement, and manage the softwarereleaseprocess for all software applications
  • Manage the deployment of softwarereleases to production environments and ensure that they are delivered on time with high quality
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to softwarereleases
  • Maintain and improvereleaseprocess documentation and procedures
  • Produce deployment runbooks and implementation plans
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and improvereleasemanagement policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing efforts to improve the overall SDLC process
  • Conducts release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go meetings.
  • Serve as the Scrum Master for the release teams
  • Responsible for the management and prioritization of teams' backlogs.
  • Facilitates agile events, removes impediments, provides coaching to team members, and ensures timely and accurate delivery of roadmap items.
  • Encourage team cohesion, empowerment, and ownership of commitments.
  • Maintain documentation that provides support for technology processes and key decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred)
  • 4+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience utilizing Agile delivery frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles, concepts, and methodologies; ability to coach and foster an Agile mindset
  • 3+ years of experience in softwarereleasemanagement or related field
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles andreleasemanagement best practices
  • Understands Scrum and Agile values at a deep level and routinely demonstrates them through their actions
  • Agile or SCRUM certification or equivalent training and experience are preferred
  • Agile experience at the team level
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skillswith a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with JIRA or other work management tools
  • Knowledge and understanding common Agile engineering practices is a plus

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be an annual salary of $115,000.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager's discretion.
