Primary Purpose:

Support maintenance of a dynamic Electric Transmission construction project schedule. Support analyzing construction jobs and applying for all required permitting and approval processes from initiation to completion. Evaluate compliance-driven work against resource availability to optimize company resource utilization. Ensure schedule adherence, considering resource and workload forecast, and taking corrective action as necessary to ensure project deliverables are met and critical issues are not overlooked. Supports both Construction Scheduling and Insulator Wash Scheduling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule electric system authorizations for TCM Line Crews and Wash Crews within compliance time frames. This includes running reports to ensure compliance time frames are met, coordinating with GRID outage coordination and using GIS software to provide location data with outage requests.
  • Proactively coordinate inspection and pre-construction activities needed for TCM projects. These activities include but are not limited to: permit application and coordination for various cities and counties material coordination, Dig Alerts, Hole Digging, Traffic Plans, No Parking Signs, Road Work and Environmental Surveys.
  • Proactively monitors jobs waiting to be scheduled and advise management on jobs that may have roadblocks affecting compliance time frames. Documentation of scheduling attempts and reasons for cancellations in system of record for audit purposes.
  • Provides calendar of scheduled work to Construction Supervisors, Maintenance & Operation Supervisor, Staff and C&O Manager.
  • Maintains communications with field personnel via 900 MHZ radio, and cell phones.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).


Hybrid Schedule:

  • Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow the employee to work onsite three days per week and remotely on the remaining workdays.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.

Required Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED Required
  • 1 Experience in a construction environment including permit application
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage consistent interruptions.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of steps needed for pre-construction activities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate, both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to learn new programs and applications needed to ensure business operations.
  • Must be able to work overtime as directed by operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of TCM's maintenance practices and work procedures.
