Job Title
Postdoctoral Scientist - Radiation LaboratoryJob Description
The Notre Dame Radiation Laboratory, a world-renowned center for study of radiation chemistry, has an opening for a postdoctoral scientist. Our interdisciplinary team of chemists and physicists probe the basic science underpinning the effects of radiation across a broad range of non-medical applications, including nuclearpower generation, high-energy materials characterization, and industrial processing.
An experimentalist is needed to conduct radiation studies on the stability of nanoparticles in association with a variety of gaseous and liquid environments. The focus is on the interface between solid materials and the environments associated with the nuclear power industry, such as aqueous solutions, organics, and molten salts.
The position is a 1-year appointment with the possibility of renewal. To apply, CV and cover letters should be sent to Laura.Mortlock@nd.edu.
