Title: Sr. Operations Analyst
Compensation:$38-42/hr
Location: San Diego, CA
Type: Contract to Hire/Hybrid
Shift: Flexible P/T 20-24 hours to start, 3x8 or 4x6 during PST business hours
Industry: Genomics
Responsibilities:
Demand Planning
- Work cross-functionally to develop extended forecasts to be shared with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams
- Reconcile against actuals and update forecasts based on latest information
- Support plan for scale-up activities
Production Planning
- Support capacity planning based on demand planning for internal manufacturing
- Support weekly and monthly supply and production planning based on demand planning output
- Support plan for scale-up activities
Financial Management - Inventory
- Support financial reporting of inventory and material consumption
- Support budgeting and spend financial planning
- Supporting COGS; standard costing method
Excel Modeling, Dashboard, and Database Building
- Build databases to accurately track historical information and critical information
- Creation of dashboards based on databases to update broader audiences on status and/or progress
- Analyze historical information for trends and patterns
Process Development and Optimization
- Develop new processes to support operational needs and collect data
- Optimizing processes to drive efficiencies, using numbers to influence, drive change, and monitor results
Requirements:
Must have:
- Bachelors Degree (Business degree) + 3 years exp and/or APICS/CPIM Certificate + 5 years of relevant exp
- Experience using an ERP system
- Moderate-advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Adaptability and flexibility
Nice to have:
- Experience working within internal and external manufacturing environments
- Moderate Powerpoint skills; ability to present to and influence executive leadership
- New product introduction (NPI or NPD) and/or start-up experience
- Life sciences experience
