DESCRIPTION

Involves Supervising the fields of healthcare clinical technology management (systems engineering, biomedical services, regulatory compliance, new technology assessment and deployment). Includes technology selection, device integration, interfacing with IT security, infrastructure and networks and biomedical equipment services (inventory and maintenance of equipment). Applies a broad scope of diagnostic, therapeutic, and equipment maintenance technologies used in the delivery of patient care. May provide technical support during highly instrumented medical procedures. Provides consultation, instruction and / or technical direction for medical, nursing and other paramedical staff in the safe use of biomedical equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nine years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus Five years of related experience/training.

  • Experience and proven success in subject matter knowledge of clinical technology for a medical specialty including biomedical equipment management, medical device technology, server / network operations, and security.

  • Ability to apply principles to an acute care setting to ensure operations meet regulatory standards.

  • Experienced with Regulatory surveys and CMS compliance.

  • Experienced at managing the day to day operations of a Biomedical department.

  • Requires travel to multiple sites and working various hours - responding during emergencies when needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • AAMI CHTM or CBET Certification or other Clinical Technology specialty.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $101,200 - $192,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $48.47 - $92.05

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
