AUSGAR Technologies has a new hybrid opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members working at NAVWAR in the Old Town area of San Diego, California.


Job Description:


Seeking a skilled and highly motivated Cybersecurity Engineer who can provide international Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems support and define System of Systems (SoS) architecture requirements, as well as design, test and plan certification oversight activities. Shall provide systems engineering, engineering technical assistance and cybersecurity assistance, design and technical support services to define, analyze, design and plan for the delivery of technical C4I solutions to meet partner nation requirements.


This position will also:

  • Integrate network security, C4I systems integration and other partner nation systems and capabilities into an overarching cybersecurity architecture, which meets partner nation and USG cybersecurity requirements.
  • Conduct technical requirements definition and allocation and develop technical documentation to include integration and installation plans, forecasts and reports.
  • Support Combatant Commands (COCOM) Cybersecurity assessments as determined by the partner nation to achieve an Authorization To Operate (ATO) and as necessary, an Authorization To Connect (ATC) from the Defense Security/Cybersecurity Authorization WG (DSAWG) /International Security Risk Management Consortium (ISRMC).
  • Monitor and control project and system changes; examine technical performance to determine conformance with planned solutions and develop and document Analysis of Alternatives (AoA).
  • Review partner nation C4I and cybersecurity architectures and collaborate with the COCOMs to ensure cybersecurity requirements are identified and implemented into relevant Final Multiple Scores (FMSs) processes, such as a Letter of Request (LOR).
  • Routinely conduct industry research and analysis to recommend the best solution(s) to meet partner nation requirements.
  • Collaborate with other organizations and functional areas to ensure each C4I system can be integrated into the cybersecurity architecture.
  • Identify cybersecurity policy and guidance governing the acquisition, development and implementation of enhanced capabilities, to include Software Defined Networks (SDNs), Software Defined Radios (SDRs), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Information Security (INFOSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), Transmission Security (TRANSEC), Controlled Interfaces (CIs), Multi-Level Security (MLS), Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS) and other emergent cybersecurity solutions.
  • Maximize the utilization of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for cybersecurity architectures and recommend language for research and development contracts to ensure Information Assurance Tuition Assistance (IA TA) standards, physical security, cybersecurity and enhanced capability initiatives are fully addressed.
  • Perform analyses and provide recommendations to resolve issues and security gaps.
Requirements

  • Must possess a Secret Clearance.
  • BS degree from an accredited university/college in Engineering, Computer Science or related field and two to six years of experience.
  • Possess current working knowledge of existing, emerging and evolving Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off The-Shelf (GOTS) C4I equipment (inclusive of Link 16) and technologies employed or under consideration for employment through Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases within the purview of PMW 740's International C4I portfolio.
  • Documentation and communication skills are required to translate technical documentation and specifications to and from the partner nation native language and English.
  • Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team is also required.
  • This position is hybrid, with approximately 70% onsite at NAVWAR (Old Town) and 30% remote.
  • Travel: Up to 20% with one to three trips per quarter to support South America, Asia and Africa.

Salary Range: $90-97K


An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.


AUSGAR's salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
