The Apple Media Tech (AMT) group is at the center of audio, video, and graphics in Apple's innovative products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, Apple TV and VisionPro. AMT's Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Spatial Audio, Siri, FaceTime, Audio for Games, media capture, playback and API's for third party developers to enrich our platforms. The team is looking for talented engineers who are passionate about championing the performance and user experience of audio feature and products used by millions of customers.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with software development
- Strong coding skills in C++
- Experience with and understanding of real-time multithreaded programming systems
- Knowledge of memory and compute performance analysis and characterization
- Experience using various performance tracing, profiling and logging tools is highly desired
Description
You are a team-oriented professional with excellent interpersonal skills and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for continually improving the performance of the audio stack by conducting investigations using a variety of performance tools, proposing optimizations and improvements and also working with other multi-functional teams in an effort to realize higher levels of performance across the overall system. The ideal candidate has in-depth experience in systems-level programming and writing multi-threaded C++ code.
Education & Experience
BS/MS in Computer Science or Equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Experience with audio technologies is a plus
- Experience leading or mentoring a team of resourceful engineers is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700.00 and $284,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
