Description
A postdoctoral position is open in Dr. Marek Urban’s group in Materials Science & Engineering at Clemson University. The position focuses on designing, synthesizing, characterizing, and developing novel monomeric and polymeric materials with self-healing and upcyclable properties. This position will also provide hands-on experience, mentoring, and training of new graduate and undergraduate students as well as develop new ideas for future funding opportunities. The candidate will get opportunities to interact with various materials science experimental groups, contribute to proposals writing, and mentor students thereby adding to their overall professional development.
- Perform research and lead project(s), write papers and presentations, partly mentor/train graduate and undergraduate students.
- Design of Materials; literature analysis and reviews.
- Perform laboratory experiments, synthesis and polymerization of new materials including characterization.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, publications, and proposals.
Qualifications
The position requires a PhD in MSE or related field with a strong background demonstrated by research publications.
