Your Role

The Total Rewards team is responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and communicating the organization's benefits, retirement, wellbeing, and recognition programs. The Well-being and Recognition Analyst, Senior will report to the Sr. Manager, Benefits and Retirement. In this role you will responsible for project managing Blue Shield of California's Healthy Employee benefit program. Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Analyzes and develops recognition programs and policies
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends needed changes or program enhancements in response to problem and opportunity areas
  • Develops administrative procedures to monitor and reduce costs and improve delivery of programs
  • Oversees preparation of necessary documentation for review with leadership
  • Analyzes cost and competitive trends and identifies the company's position
  • Monitors, reviews, audits and reports on vendor(s) practices, performance, and activities
  • Manages a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation
  • Develops and implements annual budget and incorporates into overall Total Rewards philosophy
  • Regularly interacts with executive levels on programs
  • Explains policies, practices, and procedures of the program function to others within the organization. May work to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state regulations legislation that may affect program policies.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires practical knowledge of program area typically obtained through advanced education
  • Requires knowledge of BSC or similar health care organization structure
  • Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Requires a passion for benefits, employee well-being, inclusion, diversity, and accessibility, especially as they relate to employee programs and company policies
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to take a complicated topic and explain it simply.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel
  • Requires the ability handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion & good judgment

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 87230.00 to $ 130900.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outsidee California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
