About the Role:

The Senior Analyst will be a key member of the growing Neurocrine Corporate Audit Services team, responsible for executing audits and advisory engagements covering Information Technology, Compliance, Financial, Operational, Strategic, and Third-Party risks.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

  • Complete audits to evaluate Neurocrine and relevant third-party processes to address Information Technology, Compliance, Financial, Operational, Strategic, and Third-Party risks. Colleague in role will have an elevated focus on Information Technology audits

  • For assigned audits, participate in risk assessment and scoping, develop and complete testing procedures, and identify opportunities to strengthen controls and processes

  • Complete root cause analysis for gaps identified and formulate thoughtful conclusions and recommendations

  • Socialize audit results and recommendations across stakeholder levels to obtain feedback and alignment. Drafts clear and concise observations for inclusion in the audit report

  • Track remediation status of audit action items by obtaining and evaluating related information and documentation. Prepares related reporting for Neurocrine management and the Audit Committee

  • Actively participates in opportunities to use data analytics and other digital tools to support audit execution

  • Demonstrate quality, timeliness, and adherence to department manual in activities and deliverables

  • Demonstrate initiative to learn and stay informed on changes to market dynamics, laws, regulations, risks, opportunities etc. relevant to Neurocrine and our industry. Apply this knowledge to audits and other assignments

  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholder

  • Supports ad-hoc projects as needed

Requirements:

  • B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or other relevant field and 4+ years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, and similar functions OR

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or other relevant field and 2+ years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, and similar functions

  • 1-2 years focused on Information Technology risks; biopharma industry experience is a plus

  • Holds or is actively pursuing one or more of the following relevant professional certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (or ex-U.S. equivalent), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP)

  • Working knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and emerging risks, including those related to Information Technology, Healthcare Compliance, and Accounting

  • Strong verbal and written communication as well as collaboration skills to work effectively across stakeholder levels within Neurocrine and our third parties

  • Strong analytical thinker with ability to learn quickly and apply subject matter expertise, risk and controls lens to identify gaps, perform root cause analysis, and present thoughtful conclusions and recommendations

  • Comfort with data analytics and visualization approaches and tools; willingness to learn and strengthen related skills

  • Strong project management skills to prioritize and deliver on projects of varying complexities and priorities simultaneously

  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to expand audit-related skillsets to serve the needs of an integrated audit function covering various risk domains

  • Innovation mindset to challenge and continuously improve processes and ways of working

  • Willingness to embrace a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment in a fast-growing function and Company

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $93,200.00-$135,275.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
