SWE Operations & Planning provides strategic planning and tactical operations support across Software Engineering (SWE). This includes communications, design, and event services; global space planning; and employee onboarding, technical training, and career development opportunities via Software University. The SWE Operations & Planning San Diego Project Manager will work with engineering leaders to build a strategic, effective, and inclusive distributed SWE organization. The site PM will partner closely with leaders across SWE, as well as People, Recruiting, Software University, and other critical teams to establish an environment strongly rooted in Apple and SWE culture. The site PM will partner closely with their peer equivalents across divisions to create a cohesive site-wide Apple experience.

Description

- Collaborate with the business and other partner teams to build a program for a "warm welcome" for those being hired into or relocating into San Diego. - Build and run programs that help teams in San Diego develop roots in the Apple San Diego site, while also maintaining strong, cohesive connections with teams in Santa Clara Valley (SCV) and key strategic sites worldwide. - Partner with leadership to define, create, and execute SWE San Diego-specific org communications and employee engagement events, virtually and in-person. - Act as a liaison between the site and leadership to communicate trends, needs, and recommended courses of action to ensure continued health of culture, employee satisfaction, and productivity for SWE in San Diego. - Engage with the People Team, Talent Mobility, Benefits, and so on to ensure the site and its operational needs are met. - Organize opportunities for employees to participate in community volunteer events. - Partner and provide program management support for SWE site expansion initiatives, such as developing communications, presentations, and coordinating employee site visits. - Act as a bridge across teams to ensure alignment and consistent processes for bringing up a new site, and support employees as they navigate transitions.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project coordination in a corporate environment.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $127,400.00 and $252,700.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
