The Program Coordinator, FGLI and DreamND Programming is responsible for the development, oversight, and leadership of specific student programming initiatives related to FGLI and DreamND students. This position reports directly to and assists the Director, and works closely with the Assistant Director of FGLI Enrichment Programming and the Assistant Director of FGLI Resources and Data Analytics in developing and supporting a community for First Generation College Students, Low Income Students, and students who are a part of DreamND. The PC is also responsible for strategically developing collaborative working relationships with a variety of key campus partners, community members, and departments within the Division of Student Affairs, acting as a liaison between the office and other constituents, both on-campus and off-campus, where FGLI and DreamND student needs are the focus.
The Program Coordinatoris a full-time 12-month position with a significant amount of late night and weekend programming responsibilities throughout the academic year, as well as some limited evening and weekend responsibilities throughout the summer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Programming – Responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of a significant portion of the educational and social programming tailored toward FGLI and DreamND students on behalf of the office (e.g, mentorship programs, networking events, topical programs, etc.) in conjunction with campus partners, academic liaisons, and topical experts.
- Student Engagement and Development – Aid in the supervision of student workers and advise student organizations with missions similar to the OSE by providing budgetary, event coordination, and implementation advice as needed.
- Conduct individual student appointments – both scheduled and on a walk-in basis – related to assisting students from LSES, first generation, DACA/Undocumented, and/or non-traditional backgrounds with enrichment opportunities and resource problem-solving in order to connect students to existing resources on campus and/or utilize departmental resources for assistance.
- Actively work to create and maintain collaborative working relationships with campus and community partners; Connect with various colleagues around campus and within the community to successfully partner on programs, workshops, and other events.
- Participate in large departmental events, maintain up to date appointment notes, and provide leadership in programming related to the unique needs of DACA/Undocumented students.
- Student Affairs Collaboration – Participate as an integral member of a large, multifaceted Student Development team interacting daily with colleagues in the Student Activities Office, Multicultural Student Programs and Services, Office of Student Enrichment, Office of Community Standards, RecSports, University Bands,Family Resource Center and student media groups; Regularly collaborate with other departments within the Division of Student Affairs.
- Develop a strong understanding of the work of the various Division of Student Affairs departments and the Office of Financial Aid in order to best connect students with important campus resources.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree; preferred candidates will have a master’s degree, ideally in Theology, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Specialized training and experience with student leadership development; demonstrated ability to plan and implement programs for diverse populations; ability to work collaboratively in higher education with faculty, staff, and students at all levels; student supervisory experience, particularly with training and managing volunteers; strong organizational skills with attention to detail; effective interpersonal skills including a willingness to create a challenging but welcoming environment for all people.
- Competence with technology (MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Google products, Webflow or other content management systems, and various social media platforms).
- The successful candidate will also possess a commitment to formulating educational opportunities, consistent with the mission of a Catholic University founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross.
