Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Systems Engineer supports cutting-edge research projects. The candidate has a strong background in cloud computing, particularly with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, as well as a solid understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) environments and ization technologies. This role is pivotal in enabling researchers to efficiently and securely conduct their work in a state-of-the-art technological environment.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with high-performance computing environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in ization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with diverse groups of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to Obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Preferences:
Preferences:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
- Prior experience in cybersecurity research or related projects.
- Strong understanding of network and security protocols, policies, and standards.
- Experience in network automation through scripting or programming.
- Have an Active TS/SCI clearance.
Additional Certifications:
- Ability to Obtain TS/SCI clearance.
