- Background knowledge of science and engineering methods, including computer programming, experiment design, and field experiments.

- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in engineering, physics, ocean sciences, or other related field.
- Experience of working in a grant-funded university research environment.
- Experience managing major academic research projects.
- Experience working with US Federal government contracts, including reporting requirements and best practices.
