Position Description

Redhorse Corporation is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide executive administrative support to a senior executive, the Director of Navy BRAC PMO. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with the DoD as an executive assistant and has strong organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to compose administrative email messages on behalf of the Director that are clear, accurate, and grammatically correct.
Responsibilities include:
  • Attend daily scheduler review with the Director.
  • Coordinate and discuss all requests for meetings, review administrative priorities and actions/requests.
  • Maintain complex, rapidly changing calendar.
  • Requires: Daily interface with senior level DOD civilian, military, Congressional support staff and Private Sector partners to coordinate in-person meetings and teleconferences (Must apply Navy protocols and command preferences).
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently de-conflict the Director's calendar, by direction or by applying knowledge and awareness of priorities and requirements.
  • Coordinate and present all requests for meetings, actions, and priority messages to the director via email and telephone regarding read-aheads, briefs, and time sensitive actions/responses.
  • Assemble read-aheads and briefs for daily meetings attended by the Director and staff.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings with the Director and greater BRAC admin team to acquire knowledge of business line priorities, deadlines, action items and schedule changes.
  • Strong ability to review and edit Navy correspondence and documents. All correspondence and documentation requiring the Director's review/approval, must first be reviewed for accuracy by the EA prior to submission.
  • Strong ability to compose administrative email messages on behalf of the Director that are clear, accurate and grammatically correct.

Minimum Requirements for Skills, Experience, and Credentials include:
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license Executive assistant, scheduling, and office administration certification
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in executive assistance and office administration knowledge of the Navy Correspondence manual
  • Demonstrated knowledge in coordination and oversight of executive calendar, correspondence, and various other administrative duties
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience working as an executive assistant for the U.S. Department of the Navy (DON), NAVFAC SW is required.
