Hourly range for Registered Nurses $38.26 - $59.35 / hour

Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*

?         Provide nursing care in the specialty of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Ambulatory Care locations. 

?         Provide safe, effective, and specialized nursing care through a variety of Ambulatory Care Cardiology clinical settings and programs.

?         Participation in cardiac testing with monitoring of patient response using excellent telemetry skills and ability to respond to emergent situations.

?         Providing detailed patient and family education related to cardiac anatomy and physiology, disease prevention, treatments, medications, and health maintenance.

?         Involvement in telephone management of patient and family calls including detailed assessment and triage of emergent/urgent situations as needed.

?         Includes functional supervision of assistive personnel

  •    Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Demonstrate adaptability to changing needs and priorities based on unit, department, and institutional goals/objectives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills providing patient and family education related to chronic conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes, asthma, and coronary artery disease.
  • Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation.
  • Ability to manage complex clinical issues utilizing assessment skills, protocols, and evidence-based interventions.

Nursing Specific Info

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C . 
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.
Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.  Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort. Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Required Qualifications*

Current license to practice nursing in Michigan is required.

3 years? experience as a RN with Adult Cardiovascular patients within the last 5 years.

Must hold or obtain ACLS Certification within two months of hire.

NOTE: Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

You must attach a complete and accurate resume to be fully considered for this position.

Desired Qualifications*

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
RN experience with telephone triage within the last 2 years. 
RN Experience in an Ambulatory Cardiology Clinic.
Experience as an RN with MiChart and/or EPIC.
Experience as a RN with Echo Lab testing including stress testing and IV contrast agents.

Work Schedule

Hours: 24 hours per week, 8-hour shift. Hours may vary depending on clinic needs.

Shift days and hour could vary in the future and potentially include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Potential for hybrid remote work based on clinical needs of the department.
