PROFESSOR OF CONTRACTING MANAGEMENT

Duties

Convey extensive contracting knowledge and experience in requirement areas which may include but not limited to:

  • Supplies and Services
  • Research and Development
  • Major Systems Acquisition
  • Operational Contracting
  • Construction
  • Logistics and Sustainment
  • Contingency
  • Software Development and Procurement
Convey the competencies and skills required for:
  • Soliciting, evaluating, negotiating and awarding contracts.
  • Administering contracts by assuring compliance with the terms and conditions including resolution of problems (modifications, options, changes, contractor performance and surveillance, data rights).
  • Terminating contracts by analyzing, negotiating and settling claims and proposals.
  • Analyzing and evaluating cost or price proposals and accounting system data.
  • Planning, establishing, or reviewing contracts, programs, policies, or procedures.
  • Formulating and administering policies and procedures to insure achievement of Federal socioeconomic goal such as those affecting small business, labor surplus areas and disadvantaged business firms.
  • Developing acquisition strategies and directing or managing procurements Imparts knowledge of contract methods (formal advertising and negotiation) and types (fixed price, cost reimbursement, special purpose, and agreements), and the understanding and application of the Federal and Defense Acquisition Regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
