New Service Representative (Hybrid Schedule)

Primary Purpose:

Receive and post inspection releases coming to SDGE from the city and various government agencies charged with inspecting customer electric and gas work. Initiate the resulting meter sets if customers are ready to receive service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, enter, and verify inspection releases from the Authority having Jurisdiction.
  • Coordinate work with CO Centers, AMO, GTS, SOT, ARSO, Trouble Department, and Project Management.
  • Issue meter set orders upon receipt of all application information, service completion, and inspection releases.
  • Assist other departments in resolving problems or correcting errors with City/County inspections and planning work.
  • Respond to inquiries from various departments.
  • Maintain records of all inspections received from the governmental agencies having jurisdiction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Hybrid Schedule:

  • Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow the employee to work onsite three days per week and remotely on the remaining workdays.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.

Required Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • 1 year - Related administrative experience.
  • Requires working knowledge of SAP applications or ability to learn multiple computer applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities.
  • Multitasker and self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DPSS knowledge and familiarity with SAP are highly desirable.
