Job Description

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Chemical Engineering (ChemE), to join the mRNA manufacturing team. Will play a key role in supporting laboratory operations, conducting experiments, and assisting with process optimization activities specific to mRNA production. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in the field of mRNA therapeutics.  Responsibilities will include performing laboratory experiments following standard operating procedures and protocols, particularly related to mRNA manufacturing; preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials for mRNA manufacturing experiments; performing general lab maintenance and organization; assisting with the execution of experiments, including mRNA synthesis, purification, and analysis; collecting and analyzing experimental data and accurately recording results in laboratory notebooks or electronic databases; supporting process optimization activities to improve efficiency and productivity in mRNA production; collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and milestones in mRNA therapeutics development; and adhering to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. 

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry or a related field; at least two years of laboratory experience in bioprocessing, with a focus on mRNA manufacturing; familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment used in mRNA manufacturing such as IVT reactions for mRNA synthesis, purification, and analytical methods (e.g., dot blot, fragment analysis, electrophoresis gel, etc.); meticulous attention to detail; excellent organizational and communication skills; and ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.  Job #23802
