Job Description

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, McGovern Institute for Brain Research (2 openings), to work with Dr. Ev Fedorenko. Will assist with research on the cognitive and neural basis of language. Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of research, including designing, programming, and conducting behavioral, fMRI, and MEG experiments; analyzing behavioral, fMRI, MEG, and ECoG data; updating the lab website; implementing and maintaining analysis software; providing technical support for lab personnel; and performing some basic administrative duties.

The position is ideal for individuals considering future graduate study in cognitive science or neuroscience.  

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED:  a bachelor's degree in cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, engineering, psychology, physics, or math; two years of experience; strong math, statistics, and computer skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python, shell scripting); programming experience; and Mac and Windows troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of the Linux/UNIX environment (data server is Linux).  Seek an organized, self-motivated, and independent individual who can multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and work as part of a team.  PREFERRED:  evidence of interest in a career in cognitive neuroscience and experience conducting and/or analyzing fMRI/MEG/ECoG experiments.  Job #22322
