You will work directly with engineers and designers on multi-discipline designs for facilities primarily serving the water and wastewater industries.

Detailed Description:

BIM Lead will lead a team of internal and external designers in the development of BIM documents utilizing Autodesk Revit, and/or AutoCAD software. The BIM Lead will also coordinate project specific BIM workflows, processes and manage the design technologies through the design of a project. Our ideal candidate will have experience in design coordination of multidiscipline models and be excited about collaborating with all members of the project team. work includes: Initial project setup, model management, design reviews, clash detection, enforcing project standards, manage the production of each deliverable, and support during construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute work on wastewater and water utilities and industrial facilities including treatment plant, pumping station, and bio-system facility planning and design
  • Setup and maintain AutoCAD, Revit and Bentley projects
  • Coordinate production efforts on projects with all disciplines internal and external to project
  • Deliver AutoCAD and Revit training, including the development of training resources and leading in-house training sessions; provide one on one training with new employees standard process and guidelines
  • Prepare BIM Execution Plan
  • Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
  • Maintain graphic quality of projects across all disciplines
  • Perform interference and clash detection for Revit projects
  • Participate in the execution of the Quality Management Plan (QMP) for all projects
  • Interact frequently and effectively with Designers, Content Development team, BIM Production team and other project team members
  • Perform AutoCAD, Revit system design and documentation
  • Coordinate Revit Kickoff meetings with Clients
  • Assist in development of standards and tutorials
  • Provide 1:1 and small group Revit and AutoCAD support to troubleshoot errors
  • Coordinate design drawing numbering, layouts, and submittal packaging.
  • Ensure that all project models and drawings are following the project standards
  • Responsible for initial QA/QC on model collaborations and development

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in municipal and/or industrial projects preferred.
  • Experience with BIM design and using AutoCAD a must.
  • Experience with BIM design and using REVIT a must.
  • Experience with BIM design and using MicroStation a plus.
  • Experience in 3D modeling, drawing production and associated workflows.
  • Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and verbally
  • High level of communication and strong writing skills

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location B: $36.90 - $50.60
