POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Director of Supply Chain Network Optimization reports to the Corporate Senior Vice President of Supply Chain.
  • This position can be located in any of the following cities: Lewisville, TX, Mansfield, MA, Cleveland, OH, Irvine, CA, San Diego, CA, Bedford Park, IL, or Landover, MD.
  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid

This position has a focus on distribution network optimization, TriMark's real estate planning/execution and coordination of 3PL partners and agreements. Key individual for streamlining supply chain related procurement processes, negotiating favorable contracts and implementing cost-effective solutions to enhance overall supply chain efficiency and supply chain related expenses. Manage and develop metrics related in indirect spend and opportunities for supply cost optimization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify key opportunities to leverage and improve distribution center footprint, build a business assessment and modeling to maximize distribution network and control costs.
  • Source data, run models and interpret output for packaging proposals to senior leadership.
  • Manage and optimize 3PL vendor relationships and agreements.
  • Responsible for key metrics on all contracts, activity and commitments.
  • Map and maintain inputs/metrics on all current distribution centers, types of products, demand, source of products, labor availability and location of customers. Drive analytics to support recommendations.
  • Work strategically with distribution center leaders to identify options for cost savings.
  • Manage all real estate obligations, leases, and real estate related contracts and commitment.
  • Drive strong process improvement and network stress testing.
  • Provide leadership for employees in a manner that both maximizes and optimizes resources in support of the company's goals and objectives in serving customers.
  • Ensure standardization and sharing of best-demonstrated practices.
  • Ensure the company's physical assets (building, equipment, inventory, etc.) are properly controlled, maintained, protected and utilized.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong working knowledge of distribution center and delivery operations, supply chain optimization or network optimization.
  • Lean management experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and technical exposure to network optimization software tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive cross-functional team relations and effectively communicate change.
  • Ability to effectively promote and lead change with strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university, or related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • 5 - 7 years' experience in operations management
  • Basic understanding of financial principles relative to expense management and working capital
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
