Class Description

The purpose of this class is to assist in providing leadership in the planning, supervision, and oversight of the Academic Advisement and Career Services department and programs.

Compensation within the above posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.  Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale. 

 

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree required, and five (5) years of academic advising experience, preferably in a community college. Three (3) years of full time experience supervising, training or performing outreach activities for professional advisors, faculty and staff. Proficient knowledge of the advising processes, pedagogy and FERPA guidelines. Demonstrated knowledge of online student tracking systems and database management.
