Summary of Position

To execute the central bakery program to meet the expectations of our guests. Supervise, train, and coach the bakery team to successfully complete and execute all assigned tasks.

This is an essential staff position in Hospitality Services and is necessary for food production/service operations through weather or other emergency conditions.

  1. Two years baking with supervisory experience
  2. Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize.
  3. Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment, as necessary.
  4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
  5. Must be able to physically meet the demands of the position including lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing loads up to 50lbs.
  6. Sufficient physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in finishing and decoration of bakery goods such as cake decorating and retail display.
  2. ServSafe Certified
  3. Knowledge of food service techniques, sanitation, and safety.
  4. Must have a guest service passion and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Duty/Responsibility

Complete and oversee production process of items prepared by bakers and assigned student staff to include decorative finishing, plating, proper portioning, garnishing and establishing presentation/display.

Duty/Responsibility

Coordination of production of baked good and pastry items to ensure menu availability as programmed. Direct and instruct staff on the various steps within the production process, assign duties based on skill set and ensure compliance to expectations.

Create and design product offerings and menu schedule. Coordinate bakery menu to properly balance workload, customer needs, theme event menus, and expectations of Executive Chef.

Duty/Responsibility

Train and develop skill set of bakers and assigned student staff to ensure compliance to specifications and expectations of Bakery Supervisor. Coach and council performance of team members. Report on challenges and opportunities to Executive Chef.

Duty/Responsibility

Ensure sanitation levels are appropriate. Direct staff to areas of concern. Resolve issues regarding production timing, sanitation and assignments as necessary.
