Position Summary
The HR Employee Experience Center (EEC) Team Lead develops, coaches, and manages an EEC POD team to ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer service experience to Dallas College employees. The EEC consists of four (4) different “PODs” as follows. Duties include but are not limited to:
POD A: Benefits, Retirement, Workers Compensation, Safety, Payroll/Time Keeping, Tuition Waivers, Offboarding, Terminations
 
POD B: Compensation, Organizational Changes (Non-Restructure), Full-time Faculty/Administrator Employment Contracts, Verification of Employment, Contingent Worker, Job Descriptions, Supplemental Employment Agreements (SEA)
 
POD C: Staffing, Job Posting, Onboarding, New Employee Orientation, New Manager Support
 
POD D: Leave Management, ADA Accommodations, Employee Relations, Unemployment Claims, Open Record Requests, Compliance/Policy Administration Employee Criminal Background Checks (5-year renewals), Personnel Files
 
This individual must be able to focus on the customer, collaborate effectively, and establish professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and constituents to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicator (KPIs) are at or above standards while striving to improve quality and the customer experience.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This position supports employees in making people-related decisions and are involved in every aspect of the employee life cycle. This individual must have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for guiding, leading, supervising, and mentoring team members within the Employee Experience Center (EEC) in areas of staffing, onboarding, new employee orientation, benefits, etc.
  • Facilitates meetings with HR staff, as appropriate, and provides training and information dissemination regarding new or modified processes, systems, or procedures.
  • Performs quality analysis of and recommends improvements to delivery services.
  • Collaborate with the Center of Excellence (COE) team members to resolve complex issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews Dallas College policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with the hiring, onboarding, and training of EEC personnel.
  • Coach EEC staff through challenging customer service issues.
  • Analyze EEC data and prepare reports for upper management.
  • Evaluate staff effectiveness and performance annually or on an at-need basis.
  • Lead team meetings and give presentations to executives.
  • Prepare work schedules to ensure sufficient coverage.
 
Physical Requirements
Normal physical job functions are performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, e.g., organizational management, business administration, etc.
  • Four (4) years of experience including two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Candidates must be open to work Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm or 9 am - 6 pm.
  • Experience with HR software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Will primarily work at Dallas College with the flexibility to work remotely as required.
  • Preferred Experience: Knowledge of Workday and ServiceNow HR Service Delivery.
