Job Description

COORDINATOR, GRADUATE ADMISSIONS, Office of Graduate Education (OGE), to serve as the central point of contact and customer service representative at MIT for graduate and undergraduate special student admissions.  Duties will include serving as the coordinating liaison between the GradSlate team, the Sloan admissions team, MIT IS&T (Information Services and Technology), the International Students Office, and departments/graduate programs; maintaining the central Graduate Admissions website; conducting and disseminating Institute-wide data analysis and surveys in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research; supporting discussion on policies and procedures related to graduate admissions; overseeing all central aspects of graduate admissions, providing central administrative support, oversight of operational processes, and data management; providing technical system support for both enterprise systems and application system support; and providing administration for the undergraduate special student program, including application review and academic advising.  

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least two years of experience working in an office management capacity; excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and technical skills; ability to maintain order in a high-pressure environment and to keep confidentiality of data; experience managing projects and coordinating various groups of people, preferably related to technology initiatives; meticulous attention to accuracy and detail; customer service orientation; and ability to coordinate and oversee the work of student and temporary workers. PREFERRED:  Technolutions Slate skills and experience with complex database systems, and experience at MIT and/or other higher educational institutions. Job #23757-6

Salary range:  $55,000 - 67,000
