Summary of Position

Keene State College invites applications for a Placement and Partnership Coordinator to provide field placements and school/community partnerships for KSC educator preparation programs, which includes communication and collaboration with faculty, students, principals, and teachers as well as ensuring compliance to both state and national standards. This is a benefited, 86% position, full-time during the appointment dates from early-August to Mid-June.

Our Educator Preparation Programs continuously value the accreditation process of reflection and improvement through reviewing our assessments, outcomes, assignments, field experiences, and data as part of our preparing the next generation of teachers to effectively impact today’s students and schools.

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Accredited Programs, Compliance, and Assessment the coordinator is also responsible for accreditation work associated with placement and partnerships, collaboration with the Educator Preparation Office and EPP faculty, and the career education office on the paid internship project.

Other minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience; effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; proven attention to detail and organizational skills; skilled with Microsoft Office systems, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and relational databases; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, students, staff, and external constituents; and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in public school systems; experience building community partnerships; demonstrated problem resolution abilities; demostrated report writing skills; knowledge of and/or experience with placements; proficiency with Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Sharepoint, Forms, and Excel to include use of shared calendars and contact groups, mail merge, and building and using forms; experience with creating, revising, and collating data from surveys using tools like Qualtrics or like systems; experience building online training modules in Canvas or other similar systems. Additionally, the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to the campus.

Duty/Responsibility

Placement Coordinator:
· Collaborate with the faculty (who lead the cultivation of sites) to coordinate field placement sites for Keene State College students
· Communicate with program faculty and principals at partnership schools for placement requests each semester for methods, practicum, student teaching, and graduate internships.
· Communicate and collaborate with EPP faculty on placement requests, cooperating teacher requests, and student-cooperating teacher matches.
· Communicate with principals and cooperating teachers about comprehensive placements each semester
· Communicate with EPP faculty and students about field placements, expectations, and requirements.
- Collaborate with faculty on field experience eligibility requirements and placements.
· Develop and implement Orientation modules for Student Teaching and Methods/Practicum field experiences.
· Develop and implement Orientation modules for Cooperating Teachers.
· Serve as a key point of contact for all clinical field experience sites regarding student placement challenges and requested changes.
· Develop communications for students, faculty, and cooperating professionals regarding eligibility, placement, and issues.
· Maintain and distribute comprehensive field placement lists.
· Update and distribute Student Teaching calendars for each educator preparation program each semester.
· Attend Ed Prep Council and Educator Preparation Advisory Committee meetings.
· Provide communication to school sites and contribute to policymaking around emergency, medical, or other unexpected issues.
· Submit Student Support Plans to TK20.
· Support Administrative Assistant and serve as secondary point of contact to originate, reconcile, process, and record cooperating teacher payments

Duty/Responsibility

Partnership Coordinator
· Articulation of Agreements for School-College Collaboration
- Facilitate and document representation from Educator Preparation Office as partnership/placement agreements are formulated.
· Plan, coordinate, and direct outreach activities
· Build relationships & partnerships with schools and districts that facilitate field placements.
· Assist with the development of articulation agreements with placement sites.
· Creation and documentation of MOUs
· Lead and document meetings for EPP Partnerships with Program Coordinators
- Work collaboratively with Career Services on paid internship project.

Duty/Responsibility

Accreditation (State and National around placement and partnership)
· Send Exit Survey each semester:
  • Create modules and surveys (get approval and feedback from EPP)
  • Create reports for EPP faculty from Exit Survey
  • Manage informational data and share data with EPP faculty, Director of Educator Preparation, and Assessment and Accreditation Coordinator
  • Share Professional development requests with the Southwest Center for Educational Support
· Update and maintain visual graph of work and compliance.
· Maintain documentation of MOUs.
· Document and verify placement data.
· Provide auditing and continuous improvement of placement processes for field experiences.
· Document use of feedback and reviews for continuous improvement.
· Maintain/update visuals and process of selection and evaluation of clinical educators.
· Send surveys and collect data to document the positive impact of KSC students in K-12 schools
· Collaborate on design and implementation of clinical experience (various modalities, depth, breadth, diversity, coherence, duration) ensuring students are prepared and make impact.
· Speak in 100, 200 and 300 level courses to discuss testing requirements and program eligibility and decision points.
· Serve on CAEP Standard 2 committee and attend all meetings.
· Create evidence for CAEP Standard 2.

Duty/Responsibility

Compliance
· Maintain and update field experiences, policies, and expectations.
· Ensure compliance with NH DOE standards and policies with CTs, placements, and field experiences time/expectations.
· Submit field experience course documents to the Department of Labor for approval when needed; maintain Department of Labor Approval.
