Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced training and development professional to resolve a wide range of training issues and needs assessments for the Food and Nutrition department. Develops new training programs, and works on complex training courses of diverse scope. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for delivering training and development programs to meet regulatory and competency requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to train staff on CDPH regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.

  • Training experience related to food and nutrition, restaurant experience is acceptable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • ServSafe certified trainer.

  • Culinary experience.

  • Experience training in a healthcare food service environment.

  • Experience with CDPH regulations.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $67,200 - $119,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $32.18 - $57.28

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
