Responsibilities

This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S.

  • Lead the architecture, design and implementation of cloud solutions on AWS.
  • Manage, optimize and scale cloud infrastructure and services on AWS to meet business needs.
  • Implement best practices for security, high availability, disaster recovery and performance on AWS.
  • Optimize cost and resource utilization of AWS environments through automation and optimization techniques.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications and services to AWS.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform etc.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, services and applications for issues and ensure high service availability.
  • Stay up to date with latest AWS services and features and evaluate their use for our workloads.
  • Administer and manage cloud security including IAM roles, policies, VPC configuration etc.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers in building scalable and resilient applications on AWS.
  • Perform capacity planning, cost analysis and make recommendations for infrastructure scaling.
  • Help establish cloud engineering best practices, processes and standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture and management. Expert level knowledge of AWS services like EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, IAM etc.
  • Deep understanding and extensive experience with Cloud Network and Security. Hands on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure at scale on AWS.
  • Strong understanding of computing fundamentals - virtualization, networking, storage etc. Experience with DevOps tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible etc.
  • Experience with configuring security, authentication and access management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like ECS, EKS or Kubernetes. Experience with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda.
  • Experience with continuous integration/delivery pipelines.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $133,184.00 - $154,626.72 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
