The Program Manager, Planning and Consulting supports Planning and Consulting and Institute leadership in the planning and execution of a new collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The Program Manager has responsibility to ensure a smooth, coordinated, well-communicated planning infrastructure. Works closely with all Planning and Consulting team members, with particular collaborations with Executive Assistant, Principals, and Director.

The Program Manager will have a key role managing project logistics, tracking and communicating progress and supporting the engagement of stakeholders. Identify content interdependencies to facilitate knowledge sharing and integration. The Program Manager may also be assigned to designated work streams involving planning and coordination of planning efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning processes and communication tools for the new collaboration.
  • Manage centralized project management tools such as shared calendar, compilation of bi-weekly updates to executive sponsors, decision logs, agendas, timelines, etc.
  • Develop reports as needed for executive leadership.
  • Ensure smooth logistical coordination across all planning workstreams.
  • Serve as an independent liaison among multiple departments at DFCI with a focus on coordination across administrative and scheduling teams for all 10 workstreams and any other planning efforts.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Provide internal logistical and content development support.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of projects and other efforts to further streamline and communicate planning efforts.
  • Create and manage centralized library of slides for communications purposes for branding and content consistency, and ease of use by various audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant master’s degree preferred (MBA, MPH, MHA, MSW).
  • 3 years of experience in complex administrative support, project management, healthcare administration or similar field required.
  • Knowledge of DFCI administrative practices preferred.

  • Broad understanding of DFCI and BI stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent assessment skills to identify and escalate risks as needed.
  • Flexible, highly collaborative team member.
  • Ability to inspire teamwork in driving toward a common goal.
  • Ability to understand and support multiple perspectives.
