What You'll Do

We are seeking an experienced Growth strategy professional to join our Global Security Sales Strategy and Planning team and lead worldwide security growth and go-to-market strategy.

Drive critical initiatives in partnership with our senior leaders across global, GEO, Finance and planning collaborators. Solve the hardest problems facing our business with logical framing, analysis and colleague consultation to develop a recommendation. Be a thought partner with Cisco sales business leaders to implement your recommendations and effectively measurable impact on our sales, and overall business. Lead security growth strategy by providing clear scoping of projects with cross functional partners to build and implement strategic growth and our go-to-market projects.

Deliver on the following:
  • Lead worldwide Global Security Growth Strategy including New Product Introduction, M&A, and GTM strategy initiatives working with senior business leadership
  • Build/implement GTM strategy for new product introductions and liaise with Product Management, Product Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams
  • Support M&A activities including diligence, planning, and integration of strategic acquisitions
  • Lead strategic projects in consult with our sales leadership and cross functional business team members
  • Apply a structured approach to problem solving by framing hypotheses 'top down' and then using data / analysis to iterate and improve
  • Be fact-based and hands on with data and analysis where needed while also using existing practices wherever possible
  • Build strong working relationships across the organization, applying pragmatism to balance strategy needs with the ongoing operations of the business
  • Work with senior leadership to have your recommendations approved
  • Follow-through with business leaders and team members to implement recommendations
  • Work with our Data Science, Insights and Transformation team to automate your recommendations wherever possible
Who You'll Work With

You will operate efficiently across a global matrix organization that spans the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Work closely with peers on the growth strategy team, with the geography Strategy & Planning teams, across our overlay technology specialists, and other key partners in Finance and the Security Business Group.

Who You Are
  • Bring a strong eye for business, advanced GTM SaaS knowledge, and a deep understanding of IT
  • Either previous experience in management consulting or experience in an equivalent finance role (e.g., FP&A, Investment Banking)
  • Experience in M&A, new product introduction, and/or product management
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills and can develop and maintain strong customer relationships and demonstrate the leadership skills required to build rapport and connect with executives within our Global Security Sales levels.
  • You possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly and succinctly and the demonstrable ability to be objective through active listening, always striving for the best outcome for our business.
  • Recognize opportunities for enhancement, continuous improvement and represent complex ideas in a simple, easy-to-understand manner to various audiences.
  • Can navigate between the big picture and the details with speed and agility
  • As a self-starter, you're not afraid to challenge the status quo or address the tough questions
  • Creative and innovative, analytical, curious, and capable of carrying out all of your deliverables with limited mentorship and timelines
  • Able to write clear executive-ready business narratives and are highly proficient with spreadsheets and presentations.
Our minimum requirements are the following:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years' demonstrated ability and proven success in business strategy, consulting, or a strategic finance role
  • Experience in leading growth strategy projects
  • Well versed with tools such as Sharepoint, Excel, PowerPoint, SFDC, Tableau
Preferred Skills:
  • MBA or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Enterprise sales, SaaS experience a plus
  • Experience in financial analysis and analytics with respect to sales teams is a plus.
