Peraton is seeking a Field Support Services, Specialist in our San Diego, CA office.

This role is 100% on-site in our San Diego, CA location.

Responsibilities:

Provides expert and second tier technical support and analysis to field engineers and technicians.
• Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of technical products, programs, and systems. Tests, trains, and fields support to customers regarding technical aspects of designated systems and services.
• Provides expertise for the resolution of technical problems, troubleshoots products, and modifies products to customer requirements.
• Maintains network stability through advanced troubleshooting, timely resolution of incidents, and proactive maintenance to provide the maximum availability and optimal Mean Time to Repair.
• Provides training to customers.
• Travel is frequent and work is generally performed at the customer site.
• Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of designated systems and services.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, and minimum of 1 year relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience as hands-on support technician, to troubleshoot hardware and software issues for the customer
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolve customer issues with their hardware and software quickly, to restore service.
• Demonstrated software knowledge required for use and troubleshooting of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS Windows 10 20H2 (and 1909)
• Demonstrated hardware knowledge required for troubleshooting Toshiba and HP laptops, MS Surface Pro devices, and HP desktops

Desired Qualifications:

• A GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Self-starter and self-motivated
• Attention to detail, good organizational skills
• Good oral/written communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• A+ Certification
• Security+ certification.
• Previous internship experience.
