DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the clinician will work in the Admissions Department to clinically screen incoming patients, obtain insurance information and coordinate care with external providers. At the discretion of the supervisor, the clinician may complete in-person and virtual assessments and insurance authorizations. Also performs administrative case management tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Department. Attend weekly trainings and workshops, weekly team meetings, and participate in the coordination of care with the rest of the treatment team. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training.

  • Basic skills in providing behavioral / educational interventions.

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with profession.

  • Basic knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

  • Effective verbal and written communication. Proven active listening and persuasion skills.

  • Skills in collaborating with interdisciplinary team.

  • Knowledge of business software and electronic / medical records systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or the equivalent.
  • Strong motivational interviewing skills.
  • Experience working with eating disorders.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
