General Duties:

Installs, removes, programs, and troubleshoots all single-phase, non-CT rated, socket based, residential self-contained IDR and non-IDR meters up to 240 volts (Excluding: Jumpering of any Test Blocks or work on any Class 400 "K" Base metering application). Operates the SORT system to receive and complete work orders. Collects meter reads, including "shop reads" or special meter reads, for both single-phase and three-phase meters (excluding substation, ground station, and primary sites). Troubleshooting telecommunications issues as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Wage Schedule: $40.40 per hour


Required Qualifications:

  • Must have good safety habits.
  • Good ability to perform mathematical calculations involving Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.
  • Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, which includes lifting 60-75 lbs.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to absorb formal training and schooling.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license.
  • Must have an acceptable work history including acceptable attendance.
  • Must successfully pass Company administered aptitude and skill tests.
  • May be required to pass a pre-placement physical examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 - 2 years face to face customer service field and technical experience.

This is a Union Represented position- Represented by Local IBEW 465

Note: The salary for this position is governed by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement.
