The role of the Senior Salesforce Architect will be to collaborate with IT leaders, IT business analysts, program managers and business partners to understand business needs/requirements to realize the full capability of the Promethean Salesforce Platform. The Salesforce Architect will define and enforce standards, lead the digital architecture and design of the platform, guide and mentor developers and team members, and serve as the expert developer & thought leader responsible for assuring solutions running within the platform are aligned with the IT strategy, This person will need to use their experience of Salesforce's best practices, industry best practices, and latest security practices of the platform to ensure the platform is secure, performant, scalable and robust. This role requires highly effective communication and collaboration, and ability to influence and evangelize solutions across departments and vendor partners to bring solutions of business problems to production that are optimized for cost, quality, security, and fit for purpose.
As a Senior Salesforce Architect you will...- Design, simplify, eliminate, refactor and recommend innovative solutions aligned with Salesforce's platform and the organizations 360 degree strategy
- Advise, oversee and govern the technical architecture to transform from a customized Salesforce environment to a more standard agile ecosystem that supports Promethean's digital transformation strategy
- Collaborate with IT business analysts, IT program managers, business stakeholders and business process owners to focus on bringing business innovation and create business value through reducing complexity, increasing efficiency through automation of the Salesforce platform
- Perform fit-gap analysis of business requirements to Salesforce functionality; and recommend simple scalable solutions factoring in cost, value, and tech adoption curves
- Be a technical champion and advocate for the optimization of Salesforce solutions needed to support department/company objectives and financial goals
- Analyze business requirements and propose objective options that focuses on utilizing native Salesforce functionality before customization or outside third party tools are required
- Create detailed technical and functional documentation, outlining the design and scope of solutions, including diagrams of the proposed solution, data model, integration patterns and interface connections
- Work with the other technical leads, business intelligence architects to ensure that technical specifications adhere to the platform architecture standards, data security standards, and company compliance requirements as well as troubleshoot production issues when needed
- Work with project teams to ensure that business requirements are satisfied and implemented, and that the solution is in line with current and future strategic goals
- Collaborate and plan effectively with other IT team members of various skill to ensure architecture standards are being addressed,
- Create, assist and supports technology standards for the organization through cross enterprise collaboration
- Be a continuous learner to retain expert level knowledge of the Salesforce platform and adjacent technologies to continue driving innovations, value-add feature sets and influence our roadmaps to leverage platform innovations
- Implement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices, and perform peer code reviews. Typical Salesforce implementations include custom platform development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components), integrations with back office systems (often through the use of middle-ware tools) and complex data migrations
- Provide development support, from design through testing and deployment, often working with other members of the team
- Ensures the implementation of architectural strategies pertaining to the Salesforce architecture
- Guide the team to resolve technology related architecture challenges/issues during implementation
- Mentor less technical skilled team members
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or other related major
- 10+ years of experience involving Salesforce architecture that includes integrating with other commercial enterprise applications; ERP, 3rd party integrations
- At least 5 years prior work experience as a solution architect or similar role in a complex environment within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Hands-on administration, design, coding, integration and deployment experience in Salesforce; 5+ years developer experience with developer toolkit - Apex, VisualForce, Lightning component framework
- Expert business acumen and experience in implementing IT enterprise system integration tools and automation systems using leading practices/solutions to support these processes, including integrating with other solutions
- Must have experience in adopting leading practices and creating efficiencies by optimizing IT processes and automating IT systems that streamline operations, shorten cycle times, reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Strong ability to adapt and be flexible in a continuous improvement environment where multiple parts of the business is in constant change
- Ability to mentor less technical skilled staff
- Salesforce Application Architect and/or Salesforce System Architect certified preferred
Base Range: $111,200 - $143,900 + Bonus Eligible
