Metron is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to work with our team in San Diego, CA. The ISSO duties fall into four general areas: Cybersecurity, Communication Security (COMSEC) Management, Satellite Communications Administration, and Systems Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for attaining and maintaining system accreditation from inception through operational deployment, will coordinate requirements with DOD and other agencies to ensure mission accomplishment and protection of sensitive information, and will ensure workstations and networks are in good working order. All duties will be performed onsite at a designated Government facility.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related area;
  • At least 3 years' experience as a network device administrator, managing and maintaining network switches, firewalls, and other network devices;
  • Current CompTIA Sec+ certification;
  • Current certifications for Windows server, Linux server, and VMware operating systems;
  • Administrator experience with Windows 7/10 workstations, Windows 2008/2012 Servers, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6/7 Administrator;
  • Experience conducting ACAS scans, patching, STIGs, and upgrades for MS Windows 7/10 and RHEL 6/7 workstations;
  • Experience conducting ACAS scans, patching, STIGS, and upgrades for Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices;
  • Experience installing HBSS/ESS agent and modules to servers and end user machines;
  • Experience as a VMWare ESXI administrator, including the maintenance, patching and troubleshooting of ESXI Servers and replicating VMWare data stores;
  • Active Secret clearance;
  • US citizenship; the selected individual will be required to undergo a background investigation and obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience patching, repairing and maintaining Navy maritime command and control applications in a shore-based operations or research center, including Navy common operational picture applications, meteorological/oceanographic forecast applications, mission planners, and tactical decision aids;
  • Experience as a Navy Qualified Validator with multiple Navy ATOs;
  • Experience updating and maintaining Navy eMASS Databases for Navy RMF ATO Packages;
  • Experience as an approved Level 1 CMS User able to handle and store COMSEC material, including COMSEC material key management, deployment and destruction;
  • Experience as a satellite communications administrator, maintaining and troubleshooting government and commercial wideband satellite services.
