Under direction of the Supervisor, the Histotechnologist performs technical histology tasks and procedures to include tissue processing, tissue embedding, microtomy, staining, immunofluorescence, accessioning, equipment preventive maintenance, quality control, immunohistochemistry, inventory, supply ordering, data gathering/reports, slide and FFPE block filing/retrieval and other histology related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum two (2) years of experience as an histotechnologist.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Microtomy, sectioning and embedding proficiency.
- Histotechnician or Histotechnology certification by A.S.C.P.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $77,465 - $96,278 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $37.10 - $46.11
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
