The ideal candidate will be someone who is committed to providing exceptional patient care and is eager to contribute to a highly collaborative work environment. In this role, your primarily responsibilities will consist of setting up patients on monitors and performing cardiac monitoring. You will experience patient volumes on average of up to 30 patients within a 12 hour shift.
We are actively interviewing and hiring for several non-benefited casual (per-diem) positions, located at both Scripps Mercy San Diego and Scripps Mercy Chula Vista. We are hiring for day shifts (6am - 6:30pm), night shifts (6pm - 6:30am), and also variable shift flexibility.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Must successfully complete the Scripps Health EKG Examination during interview process
Required Certification/Registration:
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Completion of formal telemetry training which may include the following:
- A class or online course
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) or Arrhythmia Certification course
- Completion of a Paramedic, Cardio-Vascular, EMT, MD or RN program
- Other cardiac related programs
- 6 months of Cardiac Monitoring experience
- Basic Arrhythmia Certification
