The Opportunity:
As a test engineer, you'll analyze system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop Test and Evaluation (T&E) plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection, perform test data analysis, and report status and results. You'll also support the development of Government T&E documentation and work with other test organizations to support T&E program integration.
As a test engineer on our team, you will use your experience to work with the testers, developers, engineers, and cyber experts from the Navy, Warfare Centers, and other testing agencies to evaluate hardware and software developed for integration onto Fleet assets. You will build test plans with mission-based test cases based on user stories. Using test automation and manual processes, you will generate data and execute the test cases to see how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the system. You will be developing T&E plans and will be evaluating the effectiveness, suitability, and cybersecurity of the program. Additionally, your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate large scale cybersecurity systems. You will grow your skills by merging systems engineering, T&E, and cybersecurity to create robust, comprehensive cybersecurity test plans to effectively evaluate cyber resiliency and survivability against threats to our nation's systems. You Have:
3+ years of experience engineering and supporting test events and exercises with appropriate configurations of hardware components
3+ years of experience conducting developmental or operational T&E of cybersecurity solutions in a lab or operational environment
Experience with Government T&E concepts, acquisition, and operations activities as needed to support T&E activities
Experience assessing operational and system performance requirements to prioritize T&E objectives and enable evaluation planning
Ability to work effectively with developers, clients, and leadership
Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing
Ability to draft technical test plans and reports
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience in an Information Systems Security Manager role
Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
Agile, Scrum Master, or PMP Certification
Defense Acquisition University (DAU) T&E Level I and II Certification
Certified Test and Evaluation Professional (CTEP) Certification
Security+ Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
