Your Role
The Product Market, Research, and Insights team is tasked with designing and leading research that drives business actions to strengthen the Blue Shield of California brand, improve member experiences, and generate member growth. The Market Researcher, Consultant will report to the Senior Manager, Market Research. In this role you will join a best-in-class team in an insight-driven organization. Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Design and lead programs of research that drive business actions to strengthen the Blue Shield California brand, improve member experiences, and generate profitable member growth
- Consult with internal stakeholders to understand short- and long-term business needs and strategies
- Design research including sample plan, methodology and implementation plan to align with size of business case and ability to inform decisions and actions with sufficient precision with available resources and budget
- Lead and execute research plans and projects ensuring all requirements for successful completion are met, maintain schedule and budget, create tools (analysis plans, instruments, stimuli inputs), conduct analyses, write, and deliver reports
- Identify opportunities to improve immediate and long-term business decisions based on the findings
- Reviews relevant existing primary, secondary and syndicated reports and summarizes current knowledge and decides whether new research is required based on business case and existing knowledge
- Develops user-friendly documents to inform BSC management on study's purpose objectives, design, and schedule, leads project teams/team meetings, provides timely communications on key milestones to Insights Leadership and business partners
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
- Requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, in either SPSS or SAS for data management and analysis purposes (Qualtrics or Tableau experience is a plus)
- Expert in making research recommendations with advanced qualitative and quantitative methods including focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnography, survey, and advanced analytics (e.g., Conjoint, MaxDiff, TURF, regression, etc.)
- Understanding and deep experience in research approaches and analytic techniques for segmentation, creative and concept development, and testing, in market tracking, innovation and product design/trends
- Self-starter who enjoys a complex and ever-changing category
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to present findings to leadership
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 118800.00 to $ 178200.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
