Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: NBIX) is offering the opportunity to gain experience in Medical Information and Content Strategy in the biotechnology space. Our intern program offers exposure to different functional areas within the Medical Affairs organization, including Medical Information, Medical Content Development, Publications, and Medical Training. This program promotes professional development through networking opportunities and involvement in various projects to make a significant contribution to the Medical Affairs organization.

• Manage an up-to-date library of key Medical content for both pipeline and approved products including standard response letters for unsolicited medical information requests, slide decks, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) resources

• Apply scientific background and literature analysis skills to support projects with broad organizational strategic initiatives

• Assist Medical Information in answering Tier 2 Medical Information inquiries

• Collaborate with key cross-functional partners including Field Medical Affairs, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Development

• Build a network of colleagues by working alongside Postdoctoral Fellows, pharmacy rotation students, and cross-functional interns and their mentors

• Develop a longitudinal research project with the opportunity to present the recommendations to senior management

• Currently enrolled in a PharmD (or PhD with a focus in neuroscience) program from an accredited college/university having completed at least one year

• 2nd or 3rd year PharmD (or PhD with a focus on neuroscience) students interested in gaining experience within the pharmaceutical industry

• Must be able to work independently

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to think creatively and be a team player

• Offer flexibility with a willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Interest in attending various program events, including social gatherings, career development workshops, and more

• Ability to commit to a 10-week, full-time summer program

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Student must be on site in San Diego, CA for the duration of the internship
