HII's System Integration group is seeking a Facilities Planner to join our Fleet Sustainment group! These are full time roles located at our Virginia Beach, VA and San Diego, CA offices. As a Facilities Planner you will play a critical role as part of the Integrated Training Systems Installation and Sustainment (ITSIS) support contract for the U.S. Navy.

• Plans utilization of space and facilities consistent with requirements.

• Plans, directs and manages all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation.

• Capable of providing the planning and coordination of all construction and renovations.

• Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified.

• Acts as primary contact for facilities, and equipment and machinery maintenance, project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance. Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope.

• May coordinate the work of employees assigned to the project.

• Must have at least six (6) years of Facility Planning experience.

• Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.

• Relevant experience should be with DoD Program(s) and an understanding of Naval Facilities Command operations.

• Must have working knowledge of National Building Codes, Plumbing Codes, Mechanical Codes, AISC, ACI, NEC, ASME, NFPA, AWS, and OSHA regulations.

• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
