Job Description
The Project Manager will provide direction to the project team that promotes the company's culture and enhances the customer relationship. Primary scope of this contract is inclusive of production, integration, test, evaluation, and engineering support of Electronic Harbor Security Systems. Related functions include installation; preventive and corrective maintenance; interoperability engineering analysis; systems integration; manufacturing/fabrication production support; supply/logistics support; testing and evaluation; reliability and supportability; configuration management; and maintenance planning of supported systems. This position is an onsite position at the NIWC-PAC Point Loma site.
- The Technical Project Manager is the single point of responsibility and accountability for assigned projects being conducted within the framework of the larger program.
- The Technical Project Manager will provide daily direction to the project team across all facets of production, integration, testing, and sustainment support.
- Manages the Scope, Cost, and Schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manages the project activities for internal team members and subcontractors.
- The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with experience managing staff of different disciplines.
- The Project Manager will coordinate all resources required for each initiative and monitor performance.
- Provide weekly program status updates to management and customer stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains strong communications with each project stakeholder.
- Handles other duties relative to the job as assigned by management.
- Ensure and achieve the highest level of customer service for all projects within the assigned program.
- Tracks and reports all pending project opportunities and open initiatives.
- Provides frequent project level reporting to internal leadership team and the customer through program dashboards.
- 3+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, primarily sustaining DOD systems
- 5+ years of experience managing and developing teams to meet expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment
- Associate's Degree required.
- Experience concurrently managing resources across multiple projects
- Experience with operating, maintaining and testing RADAR systems
- Experience with technology/support and mechanical/cabling teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong experience in managing technical operations teams
- Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and organizing work effectively
- Good meeting facilitation skills and an effective team player
- Understanding of software programming/development
- Experience with project management tools, such as Smartsheet or MS Project
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Ability to create workflow drawings and process maps
- Current Secret or higher security clearance
