BioMed Realty is looking for an Accountant to assist the Property Accounting group. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team to provide financial and accounting support for a portfolio of properties; including auditing and closing books, preparing statements and establishing and maintaining accurate records.

This position offers a hybrid work model, which includes 4 days in office and 1 day remotely. Hybrid work may be modified based on the needs of the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements for multiple properties
• Review and approve invoices
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Prepare variance analyses
• Review special billings, including CAM, property tax and insurance billings, and manual billings for coding and accuracy of documentation
• Assist with annual budget process for assigned portfolio
• Generate journal entries plus any other applicable journal entries and other functions related to the portfolio

• BA/BS in Accountancy, Finance or related field
• 2-3 years of accounting experience with an emphasis in real estate industry preferred
• Solid understanding of basic Accounting principles and ability to apply them to day-to-day responsibilities
• Experience with accounting software, MRI preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook required
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Salary Range: $31.00 - $38.00 per hour + bonus + benefits
